Radiology DOS

Hello! In my organization, we are currently having a debate about dates of service in regard to radiology. If a radiology exam begins at 11:55 PM one evening and finishes at 12:05 AM (technically the next morning), what should the date of service be. Intuitively, I would say that the date of service would be the date that the service started, not the date that the service was completed. What date of service are others using at their facilities?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you!

I would agree with you, abristol. The date of service would be the date that the service started and not when it was completed. Go with the time the service started. So, if the patient went in radiology at 11:55 pm, that would be the date of service.
